Who operates Private AI

Private AI is published by NWTC INC. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].

Data kept on your device

Prompts, generated replies, chat history, preferences, imported content, downloaded models and selected images are stored locally. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for app data. You can delete chats and downloaded models in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app.

When the network is used

Model and voice downloads

When you choose to download a model or optional voice, the app contacts the shown hosting provider, such as Hugging Face or the listed content-delivery host. That provider receives normal request data such as your IP address and user agent under its own privacy policy.

External links and sharing

If you open an external link or share/export content, the destination you choose receives that content. Private AI does not control third-party apps or sites.

Content-safety reports

If you voluntarily report harmful AI output, we collect the category, the description you type, app version/build, a random installation identifier, and—only if you enable it—model identifiers. The app does not attach the chat transcript or generated message. We use reports to investigate safety issues, prevent abuse and improve the app. Reports are stored on access-controlled infrastructure for up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized. Security access logs may contain an IP address for up to 30 days.

Camera and photos

Camera and photo permissions are used only after you choose local image analysis. Selected images are processed by a compatible model on the device and are not uploaded by Private AI.

What we do not do

• No account is required.
• No advertising SDK is included.
• No analytics SDK is included.
• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not use prompts or chats to train models.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare and our hosting provider to serve these pages and receive voluntary safety reports. Model files are fetched from the provider shown before download. Providers process limited technical data on our behalf or under their own terms.

Children

Private AI is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your choices

Most data never leaves your device. For a copy or deletion of a submitted safety report, email [email protected] with the approximate submission time and report ID if available.

Changes

We will update the effective date and this page when this policy materially changes.
