Delete your data
Delete an account in the app
In versions with Free/Pro accounts, open Clipdex Pro from the collection menu, choose Delete account and data and confirm. This deletes the Clipdex account and its private data from the active database. It cannot be undone and its old recovery code no longer works. The app does not create a new account automatically afterwards.
Subscriptions: account deletion does not cancel an Apple/Google subscription. Use Manage subscription before deletion, or your store's subscription settings afterwards. Store/RevenueCat transaction records are not erased by this action.
Request deletion of Clipdex data
- Email [email protected] with the subject Clipdex data deletion.
- Say whether you want all data for your installation removed or only particular saved cards, notes or shopping entries. Include the video links and approximate save dates that will help us locate the records.
- The developer may ask for information to match the request to your installation or Clipdex account, then confirm the result and identify any records that remain. Keep the app installed until your workspace has been identified. Never email your recovery code or session credential.
What is deleted and retained
A full request covers the installation workspace identifier and its associated saved cards, notes, shopping entries and processing/source-link records. A request about selected entries covers those entries.
In-app Delete and Clear controls remove cards and shopping entries from your active workspace. They do not automatically erase every processing, source-link or usage-accounting record. Uninstalling the app does not erase server records.
Retention: collection/processing records have no general automatic expiry. Product-event rows use a rolling 90-day window and older rows are removed on the next event write. Whole-account deletion also removes its event and activity associations. Shared public-source records needed by other installations and accounting records may remain without the requesting installation's workspace association. Restricted recovery backups may contain earlier records and have no automatic expiry; they must not be restored over subsequent user changes or deletions.
Selected public-video content and captions are sent to OpenRouter and the configured Alibaba AI provider for card generation. These providers have their own data practices; deleting a card in Clipdex does not itself send them a deletion request. See OpenRouter's privacy policy.
In Free/Pro versions, the request also covers the Clipdex account association and related product-measurement records. Apple/Google and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own rules. A deletion request or uninstall does not cancel a subscription; manage it in your App Store or Google Play account.
